Privacy & Data Policy

1. The Local-First Promise

Unlike cloud AI services, Clonada performs 100% of its voice training and inference locally on your machine. Your audio files and AI Identity Banks (.CLND) are never uploaded to our servers. We believe your voice DNA belongs to you and you alone.

2. Data Collection

We collect minimal telemetry solely to improve plugin stability. This includes:

This data is anonymized and contains absolutely no audio data, voice model data, or personally identifiable audio fingerprints.

3. Licensing Data

We collect your email address and hardware ID (HWID) at the time of activation solely to prevent software piracy and manage license entitlements. This data is stored securely and is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Model Encryption

Your voice models are stored with AES-256 encryption on your local drive. We do not hold the keys to decrypt your local voice identities. If you lose your encryption passphrase, we cannot recover your Identity Bank files.

5. Third-Party DAW Disclaimer

If you use Clonada within a DAW (e.g., Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Cubase, Reaper), that DAW may have its own data collection policies. We are not responsible for data collected by your host DAW application.

6. Data Retention

Anonymized telemetry data is retained for a maximum of 12 months. Licensing data (email + HWID) is retained for the lifetime of your license plus 30 days after expiration or termination.

7. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your licensing data at any time by contacting support@clonada.io. Note that deleting your licensing data will deactivate your license.

8. Changes to This Policy

We will notify registered users via email of any material changes to this Privacy Policy at least 14 days before they take effect.
